FIELD: generation of X-ray images. SUBSTANCE: device for generation of X-ray image detects X-ray beam carrying image with use of flat image panel behind which light detector is located. Image panel presents multilayer structure that includes light-blocking layer opaque to visible light and transmitting X-rays, conversion layer of phosphorescent material to convert X-rays incident on it to visible light and layer of two-dimensional matrixes of semiconductor material, for example, of amorphous silicon capable of change of their electric properties when light hits them. Process consist in action on object with energy, in projection of energy carrying image on to surface of image panel, in its transmission through light-blocking layer, in conversion of mentioned energy to light and in registration of light by light-sensitive elements. Detector selectively registers either above-mentioned light or energy carrying image and generates detection signal corresponding to energy received by specified image panel.
