SOIL RIPPER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: ripper has curved graft knife, soil deformer and soil deformer attachment device. Graft knife has variable thickness increasing lengthwise from the top to the bottom and variable front part sharpening angle. Soil deformer is made in the form of extension spring with loop-shaped member made from first coil disposed at part of spring having smaller diameter. Loop-shaped member is positioned in vertical slot on rear part of tine. Device for attachment of soil deformer to curved graft knife is formed from loop-shaped member and horizontal pin mounted in through opening of graft knife tine. Toroid-shaped groove cut in mid portion of pin is joined with opening of loop-shaped member. Space between peripheral edge of loop-shaped member and end walls of groove exceeds depth of groove. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 4 dwg
