FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out vitrectomy and then applying a drop of viscoelastic substance over incapsulated intraocular foreign body and surrounding retina. The foreign body is enucleated from capsule bag and removed from vitreous body cavity. Endovitreal argon laser coagulation is carried out along the defect boundary. Viscoelastic substance is sucked off from the vitreous body cavity and vitreous body cavity tamponade is applied using long term resorption gas mixtures. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
