FIELD: medicine, more specifically, ophthalmology; may be used in surgical treatment of amotio retinae, in particular, its complicated forms, for example, amotio retinae complicated with fibrosis. SUBSTANCE: method includes internal tamponing of retina with perfluoroorganic compound. Prior to its replacement with silicon oil, perfluoroorganic compound is replaced intraoperationally with physiologic salt solution in the amount of 0.5-0.7 ml. Silicon oil is introduced by its superposing on physiological salt solution and simultaneously perfluoroorganic substance is removed. Then physiologic salt solution is removed. Silicon oil is used with density of 0.97 g/cu. cm. EFFECT: provision of full noninvasive removal of perfluoroorganic compound from eye cavity with reliable visual control of the process of replacement of perfluoroorganic compound with silicon oil.
