FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: at surgical treatment of traumatic cataract with pronounced preoperative intraocular hypotony after removal of damaged crystalline lens and vitrectomy a cavity of vitreous body is filled in with liquid perfluoroorganic compound. Artificial lens should be implanted via cataract cut. Liquid perfluoroorganic compound is removed from vitreous cavity with simultaneous substitution for physiological solution to obtain normotonia of operated eye. EFFECT: higher efficiency to maintain optimal ophthalmotone after removal of damaged crystalline lens along with pronounced preoperative intraocular hypotonia.
