METHOD FOR PREVENTION OF PLUGGING SUBSTANCE MIGRATION INTO ANTERIOR CHAMBER OF EYE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2828741 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for prevention of plugging substance migration into an anterior chamber of an eye. For this purpose, port 27 G is installed with supply in lower outer quadrant. Paracenteses are performed at 2 and 9 o’clock. Mesatone, lidocaine, adhesive viscoelastic are introduced into the anterior chamber. Main corneal incision 2 mm at 11 o'clock, continuous circular capsulorhexis with diameter of 5 mm, hydrodissection, hydrodelenation and rotation of lens nucleus, phacoemulsification of cataract with subsequent removal of cortical layers are performed. Intracapsular ring is implanted with the help of an injector for implantation of the intracapsular ring. Cohesive viscoelastic is introduced. Intraocular lens is implanted into a capsular bag through a cartridge D using a "monarch 3" injection system. Residual viscoelastic is removed by an aspiration and irrigation system, and the paracenteses are sealed without a suture. Then three-port subtotal microinvasive vitrectomy is performed. Posterior hyaloid membrane of the vitreous body is removed. Bubble of a perfluoroorganic compound (PFOC) is introduced. Endolaser coagulation of rupture zones is performed with the help of endolaser with sclerocompression in the area of rupture, followed by removal of PFOC and replacement with plugging substance – silicone oil or gas-air mixture. Irrigation system and ports are removed, sclerotomies are sealed without suture.

EFFECT: invention enables to prevent ingress of the plugging substance into the anterior chamber by reducing the distance between the lens capsule and the ciliary body when the intracapsular ring is implanted into the capsular sac.
