FIELD: biotechnology, molecular biology, genetic engineering. SUBSTANCE: DNA fragment encodes a promoter providing calcium-regulated expression of polypeptides, in part, enzymes in Streptomyces cells. Nucleotide sequence of fragment is identified. Recombinant expression vector pULAD 50 has fragment of DNA promoter, gene encoding aminoglycoside phosphotransferase and genes providing resistance to kanamycin and neomycin. Recombinant expression vector pULAD 51 has fragment of DNA promoter and gene encoding catecholdeoxygenase. Recombinant strain Streptomyces lividans JI 13261 pULAD 50 transformed with expression vector pULAD 50 produces aminoglycoside phosphotransferase. Recombinant strain Streptomyces lividans JI 13261 pULAD 51 transformed with expression vector pULAD 51 produces catecholdeoxygenase. Method of expression of foreign DNA-sequence in Streptomyces cells involves operative binding the indicated DNA-sequence with the sequence that operates expression in Streptomyces. Sequence operating expression has a promoter that is DNA fragment providing calcium-regulated expression of polypeptides and signal sequence.
