FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to construction of roofing from soft rolled materials for buildings and structures. Fabric-based polymeric material has strips of roofing material secured to base of roof structure with creating overlap-type joints along edges of strips. Strips of material at their one side have edge which is free of reinforcing base. In joining strips together, non-reinforced edge is placed above reinforced edge which is secured to roof structure base. In addition, strips of roofing material have their edges not completely vulcanized originally. Aforesaid construction ensures high quality and long service life of roofing.
