FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: thyroid gland is mobilized only to the place of resection, before resection it is necessary to fix up a fascial casing to a supposed gland stump by fastening a stump at the levels of the upper and lower poles. Then holding ligatures are applied onto lateral and medial surfaces. After a wedge-shaped resection these holding ligatures are connected together. Fascial casing is fastened together with stump tissue between its poles. EFFECT: higher efficiency to be used at surgical treatment of diffuse toxic goiter. 1 dwg
