FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing biologically active preparations from medicinal leech. An aqueous solution of homogenate of lyophilized medicinal leeches is heated in boiling water bath for 3 min, not less, and centrifuged followed by hydrolysis of polypeptide components of supernatant, extraction with organic solvents. Fat-soluble fraction is collected and evaporated up to dry residue. Method provides preparing prostaglandins at homogeneous state. EFFECT: improved method of preparing, decreased time of process.
