FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves composing a group of patients coming to receive treatment for the first time or for repeated treatment. Session begins with individual psychotherapy applied to patient coming for repeated treatment. The resulting information is used as indirect psychotherapy. The patient is set into Romberg position for giving him message containing the number of kilogram of body weight reduction achieved as a result of the whole treatment course applied. The suggestion is fixed. The patient is transferred into the state of hypnotic trance and changed nutrient behavior is suggested. The patient is released from the trance state and protein vegetable diet is prescribed and fastening days are indicated. Message containing the number of kilogram of body weight reduction achieved to the time of the following session is given at the repeated session. Psychotherapy sessions are carried out once a week during the first three months of treatment course and two fastening days per week are prescribed. Psychotherapy sessions are carried out once a month during the period from the third to twelfth month of treatment and one fastening day is prescribed. Protein vegetable diet is prescribed during the whole course of treatment with limited calorific value of the feeding allowance and reduced amount of hydrocarbons in it.
