FIELD: interaction of gas(vapor)-liquid systems in the conditions of processes of absorption, rectification, gas scrubbing in chemical, petrochemical, gas and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: column has a vertical cylindrical body accommodating centrifugal contact trays with perforations in the form of arched slots with the camber up vertically arranged in tiers, and an Archimedean spiral of strip material vertically installed on rib on each tray diverging from the central drain pipe to the periphery, a centripetal contact tray with perforations in the form of arched slots with the camber up is installed under each tray, central drain pipe of round section is installed in the center on each centripetal contact tray, the pipe lower edge is distant from the underlying centrifugal tray by a value equal to one fourth of the inside diameter of the central drain pipe, and the Archimedean spiral is absolutely symmetrical, as on the centrifugal tray, on the centripetal trays in the peripheral part the Archimedean spirals tightly fit the body walls, in the peripheral part of each centrifugal tray in the point wall a hole of triangular section is made in which the drain duct of triangular section is tightly inserted, whose upper edge is located below the upper edge of the Archimedean spiral; the height of the duct upper cut smoothly varies along the Archimedean spiral and becomes maximum one in the point of its adjoining to the body, and the lower edge of the duct face, the nearest one to the point of adjoining of the Archimedean spiral to the body wall, is distant from the underlying centripetal tray by a value equal to the quotient obtained when the drain duct cross-section area is divided by its wetted perimeter, the distance of the other lower edges of the duct from the plate of centripetal tray increases along the Archimedean spiral; the upper edge of the central pipe on the centripetal tray is located below the upper edge of the Archimedean spiral, the axes of arched slots on the centrifugal trays are directed from the center to the periphery at an acute angle to tangent to the Archimedean spiral towards the arrangement of the center of curvature of the Archimedean spiral, and on the centripetal trays the axes of arched slots are directed from the periphery to the center at an acute angle to tangent and Archimedean spiral towards the arrangement of the center of curvature of the Archimedean spiral. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of heat transfer between gas(vapor) and liquid due to reduced longitudinal agitation of liquid on tray and increased time of liquid stay on tray in contact with gas(vapor). 8 dwg
