FIELD: radiation monitoring including that of nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording of scintillation glow and Cerenkov radiation while detector is displaced through region of combined neutron and gamma radiation. Detector is displaced during time shorter than that within which its recording characteristics change over metal tube passed through reactor core and functioning as light conductor. Solid-state detector used for the purpose has organic and inorganic scintillating materials. Dose rate of gamma and neutron radiation is determined by Cerenkov radiation intensity and luminescence, respectively, and recorded by means of two photodetectors mounted at tube end. EFFECT: provision for separate measurement of dose rates of neutron and gamma radiation in combined radiation fields at high fluxes. 2 cl, 1 dwg
