FIELD: radiation monitoring. SUBSTANCE: given scintillation detector is intended for use in radiation monitoring complexes and systems for detection of fissionable materials and radioactive substances in conduits, slits, labyrinths, tubes inaccessible for traditional detectors. Proposed scintillation detector is also applicable for recording neutrino in process of deep-water measurements. Scintillator of detector comes in the form of scintillation fiber- optical cable comprising sheath-jacket and twisted pair or set of twisted pairs of fiber- optical threadlike scintillators-light guides. One of them is inorganic scintillator manufactured of silver halogenides( AgCl-AgBr ) with activating additives, is sensitive to gamma radiation and moderated neutrons. Second organic scintillator is made of plastic material ( (CH)n ), is sensitive to fast neutrons. One end of scintillation cable is fitted with light reflector and its other end is optically coupled to photomultiplier. EFFECT: potential for detection of radioactive radiation in places difficult of access, increased efficiency of neutrino monitoring. 3 cl, 1 dwg
