FIELD: methods and equipment for fire extinguishing; may be used, mainly, in extinguishing of forest fires from aircraft. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that fire is brought into field of view of device located on board of aircraft; land is scanned line-by-line across direction of flight; moment of beginning of registration of fire seat by receiving device is determined and time delay is set manually or automatically for operation of system of discharge of fire-extinguishing fluid.
