SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of fire extinguishing, namely to a method of detecting and extinguishing fires and to a system for its implementation. Method involves using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) connected to a server and a data processing centre. UAVs are divided into reconnaissance aircraft, which are convertiplanes and/or helicopter-type UAVs, take-off and landing of which is carried out from dock stations on mobile chassis, and helicopter-type firefighting UAVs with ICE (middle class UAVs - take-off weight more than 30 kg), which are based on stationary or on mobile chassis, and heavy class - on stationary places. Reconnaissance UAVs automatically patrol along a pre-loaded route formed in a data processing centre based on photographs from satellites, including processed by photogrammetry, performing area scanning using thermal imaging system with neural network technology. Upon detection of the expected fire source, the data packet on the fire source and its location is transmitted to the server and the data processing centre. It determines the size of the fire source and selects, based on this, the type of fire drone with the fire extinguishing liquid in the amount necessary to extinguish the fire source, after which he lays the route of its flight and gives the command for take-off, wherein the fire drone is equipped with a lidar, a thermal imaging system and a video camera. Firefighter UAV in automatic mode follows to place of supposed fire source. When approaching, the site is scanned with the help of a lidar, a thermal imaging system and a video camera and, if the presence of a fire source is confirmed, it extinguishes by dropping the fire extinguishing liquid, or by lowering the fire extinguishing liquid on a rope to the fire source, after which it returns to the location site. At the same time reconnaissance UAVs continue patrolling along a predetermined route.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of fire detection and fighting, prevention of their spreading, reduction of damage, provision of safety and high automation of the process.
