FIELD: production of bisulfite. SUBSTANCE: chip is subjected to impregnation with solution containing MgO and Na2O at 115-120 C pressure of (4.0-7.0)*105H/m2 and pH of 2.3-3.2 for 1.5-2 h. Solution is used at MgO and Na2O ratio from 9:1 to 1:1.5 and contains 4.0-5.5 wt % SO2. Solution is then boiled. Boiling operation is carried out at 153-158 C and pressure of 6.3-7.0 105H/m2 H/sq.m. Claimed method makes it possible to improve of cellulose due to improving whiteness and increasing tearing resistance and reducing amount of unwelded portion. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 2 cl, 1 tbl
