FIELD: construction materials industry. SUBSTANCE: now developed is series of novel construction materials which are made up of marl used as natural ground to be bound and industrial wastes, and used as binding components are slag from preparation of lime milk for power-and-heating plants or crushed waste slag from ferrous metallurgy or their mixture in proportion of 1: 9 - 9:1, and also alkali component which usually is industrial waste with pH number not below 11. This is used as activator in processes of chemical interaction of two first aforesaid components of primary mixture. Developed materials are in fact lean concrete mixes and they possess high strength, water and frost resistance. They reliably chemically bind heavy metals into combinations which practically are insoluble in acid, alkali and neutral media. Therefore they can be utilized with high economical and ecological efficiency in construction of bases for highways, railways, airfields, dumps for urban and industrial refuse, cores of dams and various other foundations, cast-in-situ piles, in plugging of karst caverns and other hollows instead of using sand, crushed stone, gravel-sand mixtures, etc. Environment protection aspect of newly developed materials consists in substantial saving of natural resources such as sand, gravel, crushed stone and replacing them with industrial wastes not utilized at present time.
