FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for extracting metal pipes, double-tee or channel-section bars and others employed for example in construction of water-intake wells, erection of backrest walls or structures of wall-in-ground type. According to method, applied to elongated component to be extracted from ground is vertical force. However prior to that, bore-hole is driven along elongated component of structure located in ground and simultaneously elongated component and ground around it are displaced. Device for realizing aforesaid method has striking unit and its forward part carries bush with tapered surface faced towards ground mass. Surface of bush adjoining component to be extracted is made flat or in the form of body of revolution. Diameter of body of revolution corresponds to radial dimension of structural component to be extracted from ground. Aforesaid method and device allow for reduction of force needed for extracting structural component from ground. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 15 cl, 8 dwg
