FIELD: civil engineering; trenchless laying of underground lines in firm and sticky soils. SUBSTANCE: according to prosed method pipe is periodically driven into soil by front open end and soil core is removed from pipe by soil removing device. Core is removed first from lower part of pipe, then longitudinal slots are cut in soil bridge in pipe, process of pipe driving-in is continued, and soil falling from upper part of pipe at its driving is removed. Device for implementing this method has cylindrical bailer with outer diameter smaller inner diameter of pipe to be cleaned which is connected with striker. Bailer has cutting members mounted on its outer surface. EFFECT: reduced power consumption in process of removal of soil core, increased capacity at trenchless pipe laying. 3 cl, 12 dwg
