FIELD: magnetic recording and reading, huge data array storage, in particular, for laptop and vehicle-borne computers, credit cards. SUBSTANCE: method involves application of longitudinal bias magnetic field and localized alternating electric field in order to record information onto carrier which is designed as toroidal assemblies of ferromagnetic particles. When information is read, carrier is exposed to alternating longitudinal magnetic field. This results in oscillation of toroidal moment of assembly which generates alternating electric field which is phase-detected. EFFECT: increased density of magnetic recording. 5 dwg
