FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying face layer forming mold working surface and based on synthetic resin to model and curing it; applying intermediate layer based on fabric impregnated with synthetic resin and curing it; forming back layer on intermediate layer containing filler impregnated with synthetic layer and curing it. During applying of face layer, filler made in the form of finely dispersed powder of high-melting point metal oxides is introduced into resin. Sand is used as filler for making back layer. Method further involves removing mold from model and treating working surface with solution of polyethyl hydroxyloxane in organic solvent with catalyst and curing to form protective film. EFFECT: increased wear-resistance of mold working surface and, as a result, prolonged service life. 1 dwg
