FIELD: building industry. SUBSTANCE: manufacture of calcium oxide based refractories are treated in solution containing (wt %): 20-60 phosphate forming agent; 40-80 glycerol and/or ethylene glycol and 0.3-0.5 above 100% emulsifiers (surfactants). Said refractories are maintained at 110- 130 C till completion of intensive foaming are taken out and placed into preserving solution containing (wt %): 40-50 petroleum oil; 5-20 tall oil and/or tall pitch; 40- 45 paraffin and/or petrolatum at 115-120 C and maintained therein till completion of intensive foaming. EFFECT: improved resistance to hydration of lime and lime- periclase refractories intended for prolonged storage. 1 tbl
