FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biodegradable noncoupled polymers exhibiting low or zero water-solubility, molecular mass 500-2 000 000 Da containing links of the formula (II): where A - repeating link of nonpolypeptide polymer main chain containing C1-C6. Chain can be broken by one or more heteroatoms taken from oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur and/or substituted with one or more substituents involving such heteroatoms; h - (C1-C3)-alkylene group that can be terminated and/or broken by one or more hydroxy-, carbonyl-, hydroxycarbonyl-, imino- or iminocarbonyl-groups; l, m, n - are similar or different and each = 0 or 1; R1 and R2 - are similar or different and each means hydrogen, aliphatic groups (up to C10), cycloalkyl (up to C10), araliphatic groups (up to C20), aryl (up to C20), heterocyclic groups (up to C20) and one or more heteroatoms (O, S and N). Any of the above mentioned groups carries one or more functional substituents taken from: halogen, NR4R5,CONR4R5,OR6SR6 and COOR7 (R4,R5,R6 - each is taken from acyl groups and atoms and groups as given for R1,R2,R7 are atom or group as given for R1 and R2); or R1 and R2 form together alkylydene, alkylene or alkenylene (up to C10) that can carry one or more functional substituents taken from halogen and group of the formula NR4R5,CONR4R5,OR6SR6 and COOR7 (R4-R7 as given above); and R3 - aliphatic group (up to C10), cycloalkyl (up to C10), araliphatic group (up to C20), aryl (up to C20), heterocycle (up to C20) having one or more heteroatoms taken from: O, S, N; and any of indicated groups carried one or more functional substituent taken from: halogen or groups: NR4R5,CONR4R5,OR6SR6,COOR7 (R4-R7 as indicated above), and/or broken and/or terminated with heteroatom (O, S or N), possibly, together with comonomeric links involving repeating links of nonpolypeptide polymeric chains and containing 1-6 carbon atoms, possibly, broken by one or more heteroatom (O, S or N) and/or substituted with one or more substituents involving such heteroatoms. Synthesized polymers are used in medicine for preparing biodegradable material for implants and drugs of the prolonged effect and for producing package materials.
