SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to novel chitosan-based conjugates, for example, nano-carriers containing a derivative of a biocompatible chitosan polymer conjugated with a photosensitising agent, and their use in photochemical internalisation (PCI) and photodynamic therapy (PDT). Invention also relates to the use of novel conjugates according to the invention in the treatment or prevention of diseases, in particular cancer diseases, and for vaccination purposes.
EFFECT: method allows for the internalisation of molecules at a sufficient level so that their action is manifested in products expressed by these cells or by acting on the cells.
