FIELD: drilling fluids. SUBSTANCE: drilling mud, including dispersion medium, dispersed phase, and emulsifier, contains (in wt %): as dispersion medium, aqueous solutions of sodium, iron, magnesium, and aluminum chlorides, 5- 15; as dispersed phase, oil purification waste, 10-25; as emulsifier, isopropyl alcohol production waste received from crude alcohol settling and epurate rectification stages, 20-40; and also sodium hydroxide, 0.5-1.5 (water to 100%). EFFECT: simplified preparation of drilling muds, reduced expenses on reagents, extended reagent resource, and improved quality of drilling mud. 1 tbl
