FIELD: lubricants. SUBSTANCE: stearic acid-based lubricant, containing (in wt %) 0.9-1.8 low-molecular polyethylene, 6.9-13.5 of mineral oil, and 3.7-7.2 of fluorinated oil (actually, chloro-fluorocarbon oil) is supplemented by 10 to 54.3 wt % of fine powder of a compound selected from the group including silicon carbide, titanium nitride, titanium carbide, leucoxene carbothermic reduction product, aluminum oxide, titanium oxycarbonitride, aluminum nitride, cerium and/or lanthanum oxide. EFFECT: considerably improved quality of treated surface due to reduced roughness and, when treating viscous materials (nonferrous metals and alloys), avoided greasing of abrasive wheel. 2 tbl
