FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: blend contains 3-35% carbon, phenol-formaldehyde cresol microspheres, 10-35% sodium silicate, the rest being fine powder of at least one oxide of titanium, silicon, or aluminum. Resulting high-porous foamed ceramic composites can be used as catalyst carriers, porous electrodes, noise-absorbing means as well as structural heat-insulation materials.
