FIELD: preparation of alumina, drying and thermal activation of aluminum hydroxide, thermal treatment of other powdery materials salts included. SUBSTANCE: proposed plant incorporates furnace, vertical heat exchanger of variable section, loading and unloading gears, system of dust collection of product. Variable sections of vertical heat exchanger have equally large areas with relation of maximum and minimum areas within limits of 1.5:15.0. Loading gear is positioned between these sections of heat exchanger. Powdery products with specified properties ( grain size, moisture content, losses during calcination ) are produced thanks to change of relation within given limits. High velocities of gases in heat exchanger makes it possible to decrease usage of metal in plant and losses of heat. EFFECT: decreased usage of metal and heat losses. 1 cl, 1 dwg
