FIELD: metallurgy; chemical industry; heat treatment of aluminum hydroxide and alumina. SUBSTANCE: proposed plant includes bin for loading material, worm feeder, heat exchange column, centrifugal dust collector, unit for transportation of entrapped material and furnace for obtaining flue gases. Plant is provided with at least two heat exchange columns; each heat exchange column is provided with centrifugal dust collector and unit for transportation of entrapped material for obtaining dry aluminum hydroxide and heat- activated aluminum mono-hydroxide. Heat exchange column for dry aluminum hydroxide is connected with centrifugal dust collector by means of gas duct; centrifugal dust collector for dry aluminum hydroxide is connected by means of entrapped material transportation unit with heat exchange column for heat-activated aluminum mono-hydroxide. Plant is provided with heat exchange column with centrifugal dust collector gas cleaning apparatus intended for classification and cooling of heat-activated aluminum mono-hydroxide. Heat exchange column is connected by means of entrapped material transportation unit with centrifugal dust collector for heat-activated aluminum mono-hydroxide and is provided with water-cooled heat exchanger for cooling heat-activated aluminum mono-hydroxide.
