FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: luminous flux is directed on to screen that is part of deformed element which partially shadows one of two photodetectors placed in one plane. Plane of position of shadowing screen is transferred to plane of location of photodetectors by projection. Signals F₁ and F₂ from outputs of first and second photodetectors are converted to value Y=F₁/F₂. Y_ref for reference force P_ref, Y_ab in absence of force and Y_meas for measured force P_meas are determined from expression given in description of invention. Technical result consists in due account of reference luminous flux that experiences same changes that the basic one for compensation of instability of luminous radiation and registration path.
