FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves opening lacrimal sac on its medial side. Nasolacrimal canal passability is restored by means of trepan probe. Blunt-ended hook is placed inside the trepan probe. The hook working end protrudes beyond the operation end of the probe. The hook catches conductor introduced into nasal passage in advance and brings it by means of intubator unit to lacrimal sac vault for fixing it there. Intubator is available in the form of gauze tampon placed into rubber protection coating on finger and fastened with silk thread penetrating both rubber and gauze. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in treating the cases of chronic dacryocystitis. 6 dwg, 1 tbl
