SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and dacryosurgery, and can be used in the cases of epiphora associated with complete or partial obstruction of lachrymal passages at the level of nasal opening of the nasolachrymal duct. Substance of the method consists in restoration of nasal passage patency by retrograde endonasal probing. The inferior concha is mobilised and transferred to the media position for the period of operation. A rigid rhinoscope connected to a video system is passed under a front end of the inferior concha. A instrument for resection and removal of nasal passage tissues is passed in parallel to the inferior nasal meatus to remove mucosa and submucosal soft-tissue structures of a stenotic segment of the nasal opening of the nasolachrymal duct in an fornix of the inferior nasal meatus within 0.5 to 1.0 cm in diametre of a circular projection of the nasolachrymal duct and to 0.5 cm in a vertical portion of the nasolachrymal duct to create a free opening of a duct lumen. Then nasal gel is retrograde introduced in the formed diastasis of tissues.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows reducing a number of complications, eliminating intubation of probing of lachrymal passages, providing visually aided elimination of stenosis of the nasal opening of the nasolachrymal duct and preventing recurrent early postoperative dacryostenosis.
