FIELD: manual working of timber. SUBSTANCE: multipurpose plane has three cutting assemblies, right- and left-hand combination rabbet planes and assembly of straight and profiled planing with changeable cutters. Rabbet planes are provided with obliquely sharpened cutters turned to opposite sides relative to plane axis. Their cutting edges overlap base completely. Provision is made for wedges to release wedge-type clamps of cutters. As well as for side on both cheeks of block, and for planing depth limiters mounted on movable brackets. Assembly of straight and profiled planing has cutter feeding appliance. Block has horizontal recess provided with two changeable trumpets for discharge of chips to right or left side, through aperture and auxiliary side plate. This construction of plane allows more efficient use of base, employment of cutters with operating part exceeding base width, as well as adjustment of shank position in holder relative to holder longitudinal axis in order to position cutting edges strictly in parallel to base plane.
