FIELD: shipbuilding; hulls of oil-carrying vessels. SUBSTANCE: hull of tanker has insertion tanks which are suspended inside cargo holds from horizontal ropes whose ends are secured on bulkheads or on sides of the hull. Ropes are passed through holes available in walls of vertical stiffeners of tanks and hull. EFFECT: enhanced survivability of ship; reduced probability of oil spillage in case of break of tank skin. 2 dwg
