FIELD: mechanical engineering; manufacture of polymer composite friction articles with metal framework. SUBSTANCE: method consists in mixing the starting components, moulding, heat treatment and machining, as well as mechanical action directed tangentially relative to plane of framework; stress of mechanical action is selected within elastic after- effect of polymer friction composite; duration of mechanical action is lesser than relaxation period of polymer friction composite. EFFECT: improved operational characteristics due to reduction of elastic after-effect of composite material layer which is in contact with metal framework due to change of deformed state of this layer.
