FIELD: equipment for reading magnetic information medium. SUBSTANCE: device has substrate 2 which is made from material which has high transparency in spectral range of reading polarized light source, for example, from single-crystal gadolinium-gallium garnet. Side of substrate 2 directed to magnetic medium 4 which stores information carries MO converter 3 which is designed as ferrite-garnet film which free side may be covered with mirror reflecting layer. Opposite side of substrate 2 is convex on pieces 11 and 12 which lie on path of light beams which enter substrate 2 and are reflected from film 3. Curvature radius of convex substrate pieces provides possibility to increase image of domain structure of ferrite-garnet film 5. Curvature of convex pieces 11 and 12 may differ.
