FIELD: oil pollution removal. SUBSTANCE: high-moor peat at low degradation degree is used as carrier after preliminary drying from 60 to 23-25% moisture content and compaction under pressure 140-150 MPa into briquets becoming water-repellent upon heat treatment. In this case, water-repellent agents are water- insoluble carbon-containing substances releasing together with water from solid organic material of peat at 250-280 C under anaerobic conditions.
