FIELD: oil pollution removal. SUBSTANCE: peat (valley, intermediate, high-moor peat, or mixtures thereof) with 35-40% moisture is thermally treated at 800-1200 C to achieve 10-20% moisture, after which peat is fractioned, and fraction 0.5-3.0 mm is compacted at pressure 16.0-18.0 MPa into briquettes with moisture 10- 15%.
