FIELD: cleaning process liquids and slurries from metal impurities. SUBSTANCE: separator used to clean process liquids and slurries from metal impurities measuring 0.001 mm and above has electromagnetic system built up of core carrying magnetizing coil, yoke attached to bottom end of core, pole clamp which has its edges secured to yoke and which embraces core and coil. Working channel is made in the form of nonmagnetic rectangular trough placed between bottom and top pole shoes made in the form of ferromagnetic rectangular plates and attached to upper end of core and to pole clamp, respectively. Separator working channel accommodates ferromagnetic concentrator built up of base made in the form of flat ferromagnetic strip and teeth differing in height in direction parallel to longitudinal axis of working channel and made in the form of truncated pyramids installed on base in staggered manner, with their tops facing upper pole. EFFECT: improved efficiency of cleaning nonmagnetic loose materials from metal impurities. 2 dwg
