SUBSTANCE: claimed composition comprises (wt %): 56-70 alpha-form alumina 56 and the refractory clay balance. Properties of the resulting material are as follows: porosity 25-45%, shrinkage 1-4%, bending strength 20-40 MPa thermal resistance of more than 100 thermal cyclings at 1000 C (water).
