FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of engineering ceramics and refractories, mainly refractory and clinker bricks, heat-resistant tiles for lining thermal aggregates in chemical, glass and metallurgical industries, for use in chimneys and ventilation ducts, operated at high temperatures and in corrosive environments. Mixture for manufacturing heat-resistant ceramic articles, including a clay component and additives, contains as a clay component stiff clay and as additives cerium oxide and boric acid with the following component ratio, wt%: stiff clay 85.0, cerium oxide 10.0 and boric acid 5.0.
EFFECT: higher thermal and chemical resistance, compressive and bending strength, reduced porosity with reduced raw material costs due to the use of stiff clay as a clay component and decrease in energy intensity of production due to decrease in pressing pressure and firing temperature.
