FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: one of oxides from the following order is added to the charge: CaO, MgO, MnO, NiO, ZnO at the following ratio of components, wt. -% : Al2O3 20-79,5; 20-79.5; SiC 20-75, and one of oxides: CaO, MgO, MnO, NiO, ZnO 0.5-5. Porosity of articles made of charge of proposed composition is 25-45%, bending strength is 80-120 MPa, thermostability is unlimited at temperatures below 1200 C. EFFECT: increased thermostability and strength of porous material containing aluminium oxide and silicon carbide. 1 tbl
