FIELD: medicine, bacteriology. SUBSTANCE: clinical isolates of biological fluids are treated with chloroform at ratio 10:1 and liquid phases are separated by centrifugation at 6 000-7 000 rev./min. for 10-15 min. Drop of an aqueous phase is applied by strip on indicator culture Pseudomonas pseudomallei SVBDO-141 placed in semiliquid agar and incubated at 37 C for 18 h. Macroorganism invasion with meliodosis pathogen is determined by the presence of negative colonies by drop movement course. Method decreases meliodosis diagnosis up to 24 h from the time of obtaining clinical isolates of biological fluids, i. g. at period of initial infection phase and long before of immune response. Method can be used for laboratory diagnosis of meliodosis infection. EFFECT: improved method of diagnosis. 4 ex, 1 tbl
