FIELD: medicinal microbiology, molecular biology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for isolation of plasmas of melioidosis pathogen. Method involves culturing bacterial cells Burkholderia pseudomallei on solid nutrient media with heart-brain extract, washing out of culturing cells and the following their lysis. Obtained lyzate is centrifuged and plasmids are isolated from supernatant. Proposed method allows isolation of plasmids with molecular mass from 13 to 168 thousand nucleotide pairs. Plasmids isolated by proposed method can be used as epidemiological marker in differentiation and grouping strains of melioidosis pathogen by plasmid spectrum.
