SUBSTANCE: loose-piston gas generator has diesel engine with single-action blowdown pump provided with damping and compressor sections, and valve plates. Damping sections are made in the form of additional diesel-engine cylinders; blowdown pump is, essentially, centrifugal compressor driven by gas turbine; it also has dual-action piston pump. Valve plates are connected with valve actuators of control system; they are free to displace in axial direction.
