FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: gear for certification of system measuring vertical angles of theodolite has measurement unit. Distinguishing feature of gear lies in its provision with massive base for setting of certified theodolite, extension piece manufactured for mounting on location seat of telescope of certified theodolite and segment of polyhedral prism that is installed on platform of extension piece for matching of geometrical center of mentioned prism with horizontal axis of rotation of telescope - axis of vertical circle of certified theodolite. Measurement unit is manufactured in the form of high-accuracy autocollimator with diagonal mirror put on support on mentioned massive base. Faces of prism are set in sequence perpendicular to sighting axis of autocollimator with turn of telescope of theodolite together with segment of polyhedral prism. Inclination angle of telescope is measured by reading system of vertical circle of theodolite. Thus certification of system measuring vertical angles of theodolites of most of types and dimensions used in practice is ensured with high accuracy and stability in time.
