FIELD: optical and physical measurements in open atmosphere. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to photo-detecting facilities designed to convert directed modulated radiation predominantly in meteorological instruments employed to measure light transmission of atmosphere on air fields ( transmission meters ). Pulse photometer has pulse light source, reflector optically coupled through analyzed atmosphere to protective glass, objective, optical attenuator, detection mirror and beam-splitting plate placed in ray path. Plate divides radiation into two parts. One part of radiation after diffuser is directed on to first photoconverter to measure transparency of atmosphere. Another part of radiation hits after beam- splitting plate second photoconverter which measures brightness of background. Measurement error of pulse photometer caused by dusty protective glass is compensated in pulse photometer. EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy of transparency factor of atmosphere. 1 dwg
