FIELD: acceleration equipment, radiation technology, technological equipment intended for radiation modification of organic materials. SUBSTANCE: electron accelerator includes source of electrons, accelerating system, vacuum chamber, two foil windows for output of electron beam from vacuum chamber positioned in parallel one another in one plane and system for deflection and sweep of electron beam with units of electromagnets and generators of frequencies of electric signals. Distance between nearest edges of windows along direction of movement of polymer film irradiated with electrons amounts to 0.1 m as minimum. Electron accelerator may also include frequency-phase detector and converter of controlling signal. Patented electron accelerator makes it possible to improve physical-mechanical properties of polymer films during their radiation modification due to more effective usage of energy of irradiating electrons and to increase productivity of technological process as whole.
