METHOD OF WIRE DRAWING WITH USE OF VIBRATIONS AND DEVICE FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: drawing, in particular, processes and equipment of wire drawing with use of vibrations. SUBSTANCE: wire is deflected before deformation zone with tension from drawing axis to impart circular motion over biconical surface. Due to repeated impact transverse effect on wire in the course of circular motion, high-frequency secondary vibrations are imposed on wire. High-frequency vibrations introduce into deformation zone the rapidly varying stresses which alleviates deformation and increases plastic properties. Low-frequency components of vibrations in this case affect, mainly, the conditions of catching and supply of lubricant. Vibration energy is limited by wire strength only. The device for embodiment of the claimed method has means of wire antitensioning, disc with eccentric guide and drive for rotation round the axis of drawing and wire vibration source. The latter is made in the form of hollow rigid nonrotating limiting frame with center on drawing axis. Internal nonround contour of limiting frame many times crosses biconical surface and drawing tool. Various versions of limiting frame design are provided to equalize the spectral characteristic of vibration process. EFFECT: provision of successful drawing of hot-rolled wire cleaned from scale without underlubricant coating; higher quality of wire; stability of drawing dies due to higher efficiency of the process of lubricant catching and alleviation of wire deformation. 8 cl, 10 dwg
